PINPOINT TEST E: LFC 17/DTC B1876 - DRIVER BELT AND BUCKLE ASSEMBLY PRETENSIONER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUNDTest E1-E2:
Test E3:
Normal Operation
The air bag Electronic Crash Sensor (ECS) module monitors the voltage of Circuits 1079 (LG/R) and 1080 (LG/BK) at Pins C2209-24 and C2209-25. If the ECS detects a short to ground on either of these pins, the ECS will store DTC B1876 in memory and flash LFC 17 (or higher priority code if one exists) on the air bag indicator.
Possible Causes
A driver belt and buckle assembly pretensioner circuit shorted to ground can be caused by:
^ a short to ground on Circuit 1079 (LG/R).
^ a short to ground on Circuit 1080 (LG/BK).
^ a short to ground on the driver belt and buckle assembly pretensioner.
