Visteon 8.8/9.75 inch conventional and Traction-Lok 5.5-5.8 pts (2.6-2.7L)

Dana 9.75 inch (M60-IU) 6.3 pts (3.0L)

Dana 10.5 inch (M70-2U) 6.6 pts (3.1L)

Dana 10.5 inch (M70-1HD) 7.5 pts (3.5L)

If your vehicle's rear axle is filled with a synthetic rear axle lubricant it is considered lubricated for life.these lubricants do not need to be checked or changed unless a leak is suspected, service is required or the axle has been submerged in water. The axle lubricant should be changed any time the axle has been submerged in water.

Fill 1/4 inch to 9/16 inch (6mm to 14mm) below bottom of fill hole. Add 4 oz (118 ml) of Additive Friction Modifier XL-3 or equivalent meeting Ford Specification EST-M2C118-A, for complete refill of 8.8 inch and 9.75 inch Traction-Lok axles.

Fill Dana rear axles to 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch (6mm to 19mm) below bottom of fill hole.

Visteon Traction-Lok axles require 4 oz (118 ml) of Additive Friction Modifier XL--3 or equivalent meeting Ford specification EST-M2C118-A. Dana limited-slip axles (E250/350) require 8 oz. (237 ml) of Additive Friction Modifier C8AZ-19B546-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification EST-M2C118-A.
