Front Seat Backrest
FRONT SEAT BACKRESTREMOVAL
All vehicles
1. Remove the front seat track.
Vehicles with power lumbar
2. Release the rear J-clip and remove the power lumbar motor screw.
3. Disconnect the power lumbar bladder hose from the power lumbar motor.
4. Route the lumbar hose through the seat cushion frame.
Vehicles with power seats
5. Disconnect the power seat switch electrical connector.
Vehicles with heated seats
6. Disconnect the backrest heated seat electrical connector.
All vehicles
7. Disconnect the seat cushion trim cover J-clip.
8. Remove the front seat cushion side shield rear screw.
9. Remove the front seat cushion side shield screws.
10. CAUTION: Use care when disconnecting the seat cushion side shield from the seat cushion frame so the tabs on the seat cushion side shield are not damaged.
Disconnect the front seat cushion side shield.
Vehicles with power lumbar
11. Disconnect the power lumbar switch electrical connector and the power lumbar hose from the power lumbar switch.
Vehicles with heated seats
12. Disconnect the heated seat switch electrical connector.
All vehicles
13. Remove the front seat cushion side shield.
14. Disconnect the seat cushion trim cover J-clip.
15. Remove the seat backrest pivot cover.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the seat backrest pivot cover.
16. Position the seat backrest forward.
17. Remove the seat backrest recliner roll pins.
18. CAUTION: When positioning the seat or separating the seat bottom from the back, be careful not to damage the seat back pivot and any of the wires or cables from the seat back to the seat bottom. This can cause damage to one of the seat components.
Remove the seat backrest.
1 Remove the seat backrest pivot roll pins.
2 Remove the seat backrest.
- Guide the lumbar support adjust cable through the opening in the seat cushion trim cover.
INSTALLATION
1. NOTE: Discard the seat backrest roll pins and replace with new seat backrest roll pins.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
