Fuel Heater: Description and Operation

Cold Start Heater
The cold start heater is integral to the vaporizer/regulator. When engine coolant is below 0°C (32°F) the cold start heater turns on and turns oft when engine coolant reaches 10°C (50°F). The cold start heater is used to provide heat to the heat exchanger in the vaporizer.
