REAR SEAT - SECOND ROW

Removal

NOTE: New retaining bolts must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed.







1. NOTE: Right-side seat shown. Left-side seat similar.

Position the seat rearward and remove the trim cover pin-type retainers and the covers, and remove and discard the front retaining bolts.







2. Position the seat forward and remove and discard the rear retaining bolts.

Installation
1. On the 40 percent seat, install the new left and right front retaining bolts, then position the seat forward and install the new rear retaining bolts.

2. NOTE: When installing the 60 percent seat, be sure to position the safety belt and buckle through the cavity in the seat cushion before tightening the bolts.
- Make sure the safety belt is not twisted prior to installation.

On the 60 percent seat, install the new right front retaining bolt, then the new left front retaining bolt.

3. Install trim covers and pin-type retainers.
4. Position the seat forward and install the new rear retaining bolts.
- Adjust the seat to the full forward and rearward positions a few times to make sure of safety belt and buckle accessibility.

5. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
