Cylinder bore diameter - grade 1 90.200-90.213 mm (3.5512-3.5517 in)

Main Bearing Cap
Tighten the vertical main bearing cap fasteners in 2 stages:






Stage 1 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
Stage 2 Tighten an additional 90 degrees

Tighten the jack screws against the cylinder block in the sequence shown:






^ Tighten to 5 Nm (44 in lbs)
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 in lbs)

Install the side bolts and tighten in the sequence shown:






^ Tighten to 21 Nm (15 ft lbs)


Connecting rod side clearance (assembled to crank) - standard 0.015-0.45 mm (0.0006-0.0177 in)
Connecting rod side clearance (assembled to crank) - service limit 0.05 mm (0.002 in) max.

Crankshaft Pulley

Using the special tool to hold the crankshaft pulley, tighten the bolt in 4 stages:
Stage 1 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.)
Stage 2 Loosen the bolt one full turn.
Stage 3 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.)
Stage 4 Tighten the bolt an additional 90 degrees without exceeding 200 Nm (148 ft. lbs.)
