Camber and Caster Adjustment

Camber and Caster Adjustment

1. NOTE: New lower arm-to-frame mounting bolts must be installed with cam bolt kits (3B236) to allow for adjustment of the arm in the frame slot.

NOTE: The rear lower control arm-to-frame bolt must be reversed in order to install the alignment kit to allow access for a torque wrench.

Remove the nuts and bolts from the LH and RH lower control arms at the frame attachments.
^ Discard the nuts and bolts.
^ Loosen the LH and RH stabilizer bar-to-frame bracket. Support the stabilizer bar.
^ Install the cam bolt kit(s) and snug the nut(s).

2. To adjust the caster and camber, refer to the chart.
^ Adjustments that require moving the front and the rear of the lower arm should be made equally.

3. While holding the cam bolt, tighten the nut(s).
4. Check and, if necessary, adjust the front toe.
5. Set the final torque to 300 Nm (222 ft. lbs.) on the nuts only.
