Power Steering System
The power steering system consists of the following:
^ power steering pump
^ power steering fluid reservoir
^ power steering pressure lines
^ power steering return lines
^ power steering fluid cooler

Power Steering Pump
The power steering pump has the following features:
^ a belt-driven, vane-type pump
^ uses a quick-connect fitting for the power steering pressure hose
^ has an identification tag indicating the model number and bar code
^ is replaced as an assembly

Steering Gear
The steering gear has the following features:
^ a torsion bar-type hydraulic assisted system
^ reduces road shock and vibration
^ uses a rotary-style hydraulic valve

Steering Gear Identification

CAUTION: Always use the ID code when ordering replacement parts.

An identification tag may be attached to the valve housing.
