FRONT SEAT BACKREST - BENCH

Disassembly and Assembly
1. Remove the front seat bench backrest.







2. NOTE: LH side shown, RH similar.

Remove both the recliner handle clips and remove the handles.







3. Release the J-clip.







4. CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat back trim cover from the hook-and-loop strips or the hook-and-loop strips may be torn from the seat back foam.

Invert the backrest trim cover and release the first row of hook-and-loop strips.







5. CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat back trim cover from the hook-and-loop strips or the hook-and-loop strips may be torn from the seat back foam.

Invert the backrest trim cover up and release the second row of hook-and-loop strips and remove the backrest trim cover.







6. Remove the backrest foam pad from the backrest frame assembly.







7. Remove the two LH backrest recliner bolts.







8. NOTE: During assembly, make sure the recliner latches are seated in the adjusting rod before installing the recliner latch bolts.

Remove the LH recliner latch and adjusting rod.
1 Remove the LH recliner latch from the adjusting rod.
2 Remove the recliner adjusting rod from the RH recliner latch and slide the adjusting rod out of the seat frame tubes.







9. Remove the two RH backrest recliner bolts and remove the recliner latch.
10. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
