Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub - F450, F550

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.

2. If equipped, disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.






3. If equipped, detach the sensor harness from the brake hose.






4. If equipped, remove the wheel speed sensor bolt and position the sensor aside.






5. Remove the bolts and position the caliper, pads and anchor plate aside.






6. Remove the eight nuts, the hub extended and the brake disc.






7. If equipped, remove the wheel speed sensor harness bolt.






8. Remove the nuts and the hub and bearing.






9. Remove the shield.






10. Position the hub and bearing in a vise with protective caps and remove the studs using two mounting nuts.






11. Remove and discard the O-ring.






12. CAUTION: Make sure that the wheel hub and brake disc mounting surfaces are clean.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
