Normal Operation
The vehicle security module monitors circuits 119 (PK/YE), lock, and 120 (PK/LG), unlock, for continuity to ground. When circuit 119 (PK/YE) is grounded through the door lock control switch the vehicle security module sends voltage to the door lock actuators through circuits 163 (RD/OG) and 117 (PK/BK) to unlock all the doors. When circuit 120 (PK/LG) is grounded through the door lock control switch the vehicle security module sends voltage to the door lock actuators on circuit 118 (PK/OG) to lock all the doors. The normal state of circuits 117 (PK/BK), 118 (PK/OG) and 163 (RD/OG) is grounded through the vehicle security module.
Possible Causes
- circuit 117 (PK/BK) open
- circuit 118 (PK/OG) open
- circuit 163 (RD/OG) open
- circuit 628 (WH) open or short to ground
- sliding door contact plate
- door lock actuator
- vehicle security module
