Test B: The Red Brake Warning Indicator Is Always OnNormal Operation
The red brake warning indicator, located on the instrument cluster, illuminates at prove out when the brake fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir is below an acceptable level, when the parking brake is engaged, or if DTCs are present.
Possible Causes
^ Low brake fluid level
^ Parking brake engaged
^ Circuit 162 (LG/RD) short to ground
^ Circuit 512 (TN/LG) open, short to ground or short to voltage
^ Circuit 128 (VT/YE) open, short to ground or short to voltage
^ Brake master cylinder reservoir
^ Instrument cluster
^ ABS module
^ Parking brake switch
^ SJB
