Normal Operation
The vehicle speed information is provided by the output shaft speed sensor (OSS) to the powertrain control module (PCM). The PCM provides the vehicle speed information to the instrument cluster over the communication network. If the instrument cluster fails to receive the speed input data from the PCM, the instrument cluster does not indicate any speed on the speedometer.
