Throttle Body - Spacer

THROTTLE BODY - SPACER







Removal

WARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

1. Remove the throttle body (TB).
2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube from the TB spacer heater element.
3. Disconnect the main vacuum line from the TB spacer.
4. Remove the 2 PCV heater element screws.
5. Remove the PCV heater element.
6. Inspect the O-ring seal and discard if damaged.
7. Remove the 4 bolts and the TB spacer.
- Remove and discard the TB gasket.

Installation
1. Install a new TB spacer gasket. Install the TB spacer and bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.

2. Install the PCV heater element.
- Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

3. Install the 2 PCV heater element screws.
4. Connect the main vacuum line to the TB spacer.
5. Connect the PCV tube to the TB spacer heater element.
6. Install the throttle body (TB).
