Test A: The Ignition Switch is Inoperative
PINPOINT TEST A: THE IGNITION SWITCH IS INOPERATIVERefer to Vehicle/Diagrams, Power Distribution for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation
The battery junction box (BJB) provides the ignition switch with fused battery power through BJB fuse 7 (60A) along circuit 1050 (LG/VT). The ignition switch then provides power to the central junction box (CJB) through several different circuits depending on the ignition switch state of operation. The ignition switch has 4 possible states of operation:
^ OFF - No power on any circuit
^ START - Power on circuit 33 (WH/PK) circuit 1499 (PK/LG) and to CJB
^ RUN - Power on circuit 687 (GY/YE) to CJB
- Power on circuit 297 (BK/LG) to CJB
- Power on circuit 1499 (PK/LG) to CJB
^ ACC - Power on circuit 297 (BK/LG) to CJB Possible Causes
^ Circuit open
