Test B: The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Are On With the Ignition Switch Off
PINPOINT TEST B: THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) ARE ON WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH OFFB1-B2:
B3:
Normal Operation
When the ignition switch is in the RUN position, the DRL module receives a voltage input from circuit 294 (WH/LB) to indicate the ignition switch position. When the DRL module senses the ignition switch in the RUN position, the DRL module provides a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage to the headlamps through circuit 13 (RD/BK).
Possible Causes
- Circuit 294 (WH/LB) short to voltage
- DRL module
