Test F: DTC B1213 - Anti-Theft Number Of Programmed Keys Is Below Minimum
PINPOINT TEST F: DTC B1213 - ANTI-THEFT NUMBER OF PROGRAMMED KEYS IS BELOW MINIMUMF1-F4:
Normal Operation
The passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver communicates with the PATS key. During each vehicle start sequence, the PATS transceiver reads the PATS key identification code and sends the data to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster will then send a message to the powertrain control module (PCM) which will control the engine enable. The instrument cluster initiates the key interrogation sequence when the key is turned to the ON or START position.
DTC B1213 - sets when the number of programmed keys is below the minimum of 2 keys. If there is only 1 key or no keys programmed into the instrument cluster and the key is cycled to the ON position, DTC B1213 will set in the instrument cluster.
