SEAT - THIRD ROW
Removal and Installation
CAUTION:
- To prevent possible damage to the third row seat or the safety belts, make sure that the safety belts are not fastened when moving the seat to the load floor position.
- Make sure that no objects such as books, purses or briefcases on the floor in front of the third row seats or on the seat cushion before lowering the backrest(s).
NOTE:
- The third row seat backrests need to be in the raised position for removal of the third row seats.
- LH seat shown, RH seat similar.
All seats
1. Remove the load floor panel.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and mid-floor panel support.
- Detach the 3 pin-type retainers.
Power-fold seats with inoperative motor, backrest in down position
3. Using a suitable tool, insert it in the outboard side of the third row power seat motor. Raise the seat backrest.
- If the power seat motor is seized, remove the power-fold seat motor.
- Rotate the power seat torque shaft in the seat actuator to raise the backrest.

4. Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer and disconnect the power-fold seat motor electrical connector.
All seats
5. Remove the 6 seat-to-floor bolts.
- Access and remove the 2 seat-to-floor front bolts.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 seat-to-floor center bolts.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 seat-to-floor rear bolts.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
6. NOTE: Do not scuff the safety belt buckles when removing the 60 percent seat.
Lift and remove the seat from the vehicle.
- For 60 percent seat, raise the seat support bar over the safety belt buckles.
- To install, align the 2 locator pins to the holes in the floor.
- For installation, make sure the 2 gaskets are positioned to the locator pins.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants after installation.
- For 60 percent seat, make sure the safety belt retractor operates without excessive effort or binding.
