Normal Operation
Under normal operation the exterior mirror control switch uses circuits CPM16 (YE/RD), CPM14 (GY/BN), CPM23 (GY), CPM19 (GY/DG) or CPM18 (GN/BN) to control the exterior mirror movement.
- When ground is received through circuit CPM16 (YE/RD)/CPM19 (GY/OG) and power through circuit CPM23 (GY), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate left.
- When power is received through circuit CPM16 (YE/RD)/CPM19 (GY/OG) and ground through circuit CPM23 (GY), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate right.
- When power is received through circuit CPM14 (GY/BN)/CPM18 (GN/BN) and ground through circuit CPM23 (GY), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate up.
- When ground is received through circuit CPM14 (GY/BN)/CPM18 (GN/BN) and power through circuit CPM23 (GY), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate down.
Possible Causes
- Open in circuits CPM16 (YE/RD), CPM14 (GY/BN), CPM19 (GY/OG) or CPM18 (GN/BN)
- Inoperative exterior mirror control switch
- Inoperative exterior mirror motor
