Test A: The High Beams Are Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST A: THE HIGH BEAMS ARE INOPERATIVE

A1-A4:

Normal Operation
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEADLAMPS ON position, the smart junction box (SJB) monitors the high beam request circuit from the multifunction switch through circuit CLF17 (WH/OG). When the multifunction switch is placed in the HIGH BEAM position, the signal is routed to ground through circuit GD145 (BK/BU). The SJB then supplies voltage to the high beam headlamps.

Possible Causes
- Circuit CLF17 (WH/OG) open
- Circuit GD145 (BK/BU) open
- Multifunction switch
- SJB
