PINPOINT TEST M: ONE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS INOPERATIVE/ALWAYS ON

M3-M5:

Normal Operation - Explorer, Explorer Sport Trac
When the smart junction box (SJB) detects the multifunction switch in the LH TURN position, the SJB sends voltage through circuit CLS21 (BU/GN) to the LH front turn lamp. When the SJB detects the multifunction switch in the RH TURN position, the SJB sends voltage through circuit CLS25 (YE/VT) to the RH front turn lamp. Circuits GD120 (BK/GN) and GD123 (BK/GY) provide ground for the LH and RH front turn lamps, respectively. The rear turn lamps are controlled utilizing the rear stoplamp circuits.

Normal Operation - Mountaineer
When the SJB detects the multifunction switch in the LH TURN position, the SJB sends voltage through circuit CLS21 (BU/GN or BN) to the LH front turn and LH side repeater lamps, and through circuit CLS18 (GY/BN) to the LH rear turn lamp. When the SJB detects the multifunction switch in the RH TURN position, the SJB sends voltage through circuit CLS25 (YE/VT or BN) to the RH front turn and RH side repeater lamps, and through circuit CLS19 (VT/OG) to the RH rear turn lamp. Circuits GD120 (BK/GN or BK) and GD123 (BK/GY or BK) provide ground for the LH front turn/side repeater lamps and the RH front turn/side repeater lamps, respectively. Circuits GD149 (BK/GY) and GD151 (BK/GN) provide ground for the LH and RH rear turn lamps, respectively.

DTC B1499 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects an open or short to voltage from the LH front turn lamp voltage supply circuit.

DTC B1502 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to ground from the LH front turn lamp voltage supply circuit. The self-test must be run after the repair in order for the SJB to enable the output for the LH front turn lamp voltage supply.

DTC B1503 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects an open or short to voltage from the RH front turn lamp voltage supply circuit.

DTC B1506 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to ground from the RH front turn lamp voltage supply circuit. The self-test must be run after the repair in order for the SJB to enable the output for the RH front turn lamp voltage supply.

DTC B2048 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to ground from the LH rear turn lamp voltage supply circuit. The self-test must be run after the repair in order for the SJB to enable the output for the LH rear turn lamp voltage supply.

DTC B2049 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects an open or short to voltage from the LH rear turn lamp voltage supply circuit.

DTC B2050 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to ground from the RH rear turn lamp voltage supply circuit. The self-test must be run after the repair in order for the SJB to enable the output for the RH rear turn lamp voltage supply.
