Normal Operation
When autolock is enabled, the vehicle security module (VSM) reads inputs from the:
- Door ajar switches (all doors closed)
- Ignition switch
- Brake pedal position (BPP) switch
- Transmission range (TR) sensor
- Vehicle speed sensor (VSS)

The BPP switch, TR sensor and VSS inputs are received from the instrument cluster through the universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART)-based protocol (UBP) communications network. Once the VSM receives these 3 inputs from the instrument cluster and senses that the doors are all closed, the doors will automatically lock.

DTC B1322 - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to ground on the driver door ajar switch circuit 344 (BK/YE).

DTC B1330 - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to ground on the passenger door ajar switch circuit 345 (BK/PK).

DTC B1338 - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to ground on the right rear door ajar switch circuit 346 (BK/WH).

DTC B1574 - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to ground on the left rear door ajar switch circuit 363 (BK/LB).

Possible Causes
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 344 (BK/YE) open or short to ground
- Circuit 345 (BK/PK) open or short to ground
- Circuit 346 (BK/WH) open or short to ground (SuperCrew)
- Circuit 363 (BK/LB) open or short to ground (SuperCrew)
- Door ajar switches
- UBP communications network
- VSM
