Exhaust Manifold - RH








Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
3. Detach the exhaust manifold-to-EGR system module tube from the exhaust manifold.
4. Remove the bolts and detach the dual converter Y-pipe.
5. Remove the nuts and the engine lifting eye.
6. Remove the nuts, the RH exhaust manifold and the gasket. Discard the nuts and the gasket.

7. NOTE: Note the locations of the 2 long studs.

Remove and discard the 6 RH exhaust manifold studs.

Installation
1. Inspect the RH exhaust manifold gasket mating surfaces for flatness.

2. NOTE: Make sure the 2 long studs are installed in the locations noted during removal.

Install 6 new RH exhaust manifold studs.
^ Tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).

3. Position a new RH exhaust manifold gasket and the RH exhaust manifold and install 6 new nuts.
^ Tighten the nuts in the sequence shown to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





4. Position the engine lifting eye and install the nuts.
^ Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

5. Attach the dual converter Y-pipe and install the 2 nuts.
^ Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).

6. Attach the exhaust manifold-to-EGR system module to the exhaust manifold.
^ Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).

7. Install the RH heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
