Normal Operation
Power is supplied to the digital versatile disc (DVD) player through circuit 720 (RD/YE). Once the DVD player is powered up, a signal is sent to the audio unit through circuits 832 (LB/PK) and 833 (TN) so that communication between the audio unit and DVD player can begin. When a video disc is inserted into the DVD player and the PLAY button is pressed, an image should be displayed on the screen.
DTC U2005 RICP - sets when communication with between the audio unit and DVD player is lost.
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 720 (RD/YE) open
- Circuit 1204 (BK/OG) open
- Circuit 832 (LB/PK) open or short to ground
- Circuit 833 (TN) open or short to ground
- DVD play buttons disabled
- DVD or compact disc (CD)
- DVD player
