Normal Operation
The multifunction switch provides voltage to the turn signal lamps depending on the position of the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is placed in the RH TURN position, current flows from the multifunction switch to the RH front turn signal indicator and RH signal mirror bulb through circuit 2 (WH/LB). When the multifunction switch is placed into the LH TURN position, current flows from the multifunction switch to the LH front turn signal indicator and LH signal mirror bulb through circuit 3 (LG/WH). Circuit grounds for each turn signal bulb are accomplished through circuit 57 (BK). The timed on/off cycle is determined in the indicator flasher relay and is set to flash approximately 80 times per minute if both the front and rear indicators operate. If only one turn signal lamp operates, the indicator flasher relay flashes the lamps approximately 160 times per minute.

Possible Causes
- Circuit 2 (WH/LB) open or short to voltage
- Circuit 3 (LG/WH) open or short to voltage
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Multifunction switch
- Signal mirror (if equipped)
