Test A: The Instrument Cluster Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST A: THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS INOPERATIVE

A1:

A2-A3:

Normal Operation
With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the central junction box (CJB) through circuits 640 (RD/YE) and 1003 (GY/YE). When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, voltage is received from the CJB through circuit 489 (PK/BK). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive voltage from the CJB through circuit 3049 (BK/LG). The instrument cluster grounding is accomplished through circuit 875 (BK/LB) and the bulb grounding is accomplished through circuit 57 (BK).

DTC B1360 - is set in continuous memory when the instrument cluster detects voltage on circuits 640 (RD/YE) and 1003 (GY/YE) with no voltage present on circuit 489 (PK/BK).

Possible Causes
- Fuse(s)
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 489 (PK/BK) open
- Circuit 640 (RD/YE) open
- Circuit 875 (BK/LB) open
- Circuit 1003 (GY/YE) open
- Circuit 3049 (BK/LG) open
