Normal Operation
The parking aid system is enabled when the ignition switch is in the RUN position and REVERSE (R) gear is selected. The parking aid module supplies voltage to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1439 (BN/PK). The parking aid module supplies ground to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1440 (DG/YE). The parking aid module receives a signal from the parking aid sensors on circuits 1444 (DB/YE), 1443 (WH/LB), 1442 (DG/WH) and 1441 (WH/LG). The system can be disabled through the parking aid disable switch. The parking aid module sends a signal to the parking aid disable switch through circuit 1435 (DG/VT). The parking aid disable switch is grounded through circuit 676 (PK/OG). A 750 Hz variable warning tone is generated from a parking aid speaker. The parking aid speaker increases the warning tone rate as the vehicle gets closer to an obstacle.

- Circuit 676 (PK/OG) open
- Circuit 1435 (DG/VT) open or short to ground
- Parking aid sensor alignment
- Parking aid module
- Parking aid switch
