Normal Operation
The vehicle security module monitors circuits 1210 (BK/WH), unlock, and 1211 (WH/RD), lock. The vehicle security module receives a ground signal on either the lock or the unlock circuit. The vehicle security module then sends voltage through circuit 117 (PK/BK) to lock all the doors or sends voltage through circuits 163 (RD/OG) and 118 (PK/OG) to unlock all the doors. The power door lock actuators operate in either the lock or unlock direction based on which circuit(s) are supplying voltage.

DTC B 1300 - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the vehicle security module detects a short to ground on the driver and passenger door lock VREF circuit 1211 (WH/RD).

DTC B 1311 - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the vehicle security module detects a short to ground on the driver and passenger door unlock VREF circuit 1210 (BK/WH).

Possible Causes
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 117 (PK/BK) open or short to ground
- Circuit 118 (PK/OG) open or short to ground
- Circuit 163 (RD/OG) open or short to ground
- Circuit 1210 (BK/WH) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit 1211 (WH/RD) open, short to ground or voltage
- Door lock control switch(es)
- Power door lock actuator(s)
- Vehicle security module
