Seat - Front, Bucket and 40 Percent

SEAT-FRONT, BUCKET AND 40 PERCENT

Removal and Installation

NOTE:
- New bolts must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed. The stud(s) and nut(s) can be reused.
- Driver side shown, passenger side similar.
- Power seat without heat control shown, power seat with heat control similar.

1. NOTE: Passenger front inboard retainer cover shown, driver cover similar.

Remove the front inboard retainer cover.







2. NOTE: Passenger rear inboard retainer cover shown, driver similar.

Remove the rear inboard retainer cover.

3. Move the seat to its forward most position.

Power seats







4. NOTE: Passenger rear outboard retainer cover shown, driver cover similar.

Remove the rear outboard retainer cover.







5. Remove the front seat.
1 Remove and discard the 3 front seat riser support-to-floor bolts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

2 Disconnect the safety belt buckle electrical connector (driver only).
3 Disconnect the seat switch electrical connector.
4 Remove the front seat riser support-to-floor pan nut.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

5. Remove the front seat.

6. Remove the front seat.
1 Remove and discard the 2 front seat riser support-to-floor bolts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

2 Disconnect the safety belt buckle electrical connector (driver only).
3 Remove the 2 rear seat riser support-to-floor pan nuts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

4 Remove the front seat.

7. CAUTION: When installing the seat, tighten the front mounting bolts, then the rear mounting bolt or nut(s).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belt and buckle are accessible to the occupant after installation.
- Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
- Adjust the seat to the full forward and rearward positions a few times to make sure of safety belt and buckle accessibility.
