SEAT - REAR, BUCKET, CREWCABRemoval and Installation
NOTE:
- New bolts must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed. The stud and nut can be reused.
- Removing the rear seat requires more than one technician.
Vehicles with second row center console
1. Remove the center console.
All vehicles
2. Remove the safety belt buckles from the retaining strap on both rear seats.
3. Remove and discard the 2 seat riser-to-floor front bolts (1 shown).
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
4. Remove the 2 seat riser-to-floor rear nuts (1 shown).
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
5. Position the front seats forward for access to remove the rear seats.
6. NOTE: Removing the rear seat requires more than one technician.
Lift the rear seats off of the floor and rotate forward 180 degrees.
7. Remove the seats from the vehicle.
8. NOTE: Left seat shown, right seat similar.
Remove the nuts for the seat riser on the affected seat.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
9. Remove the 4 bolts for the affected seat.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belt is not twisted prior to installation.
- Make sure the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants after installation.
