Normal Operation
When the headlamp switch is placed in the AUTOLAMPS ON position, voltage is routed to the vehicle security module through circuit 1399 (DB/WH). The vehicle security module then monitors a voltage reference signal sent to the light sensor through circuit 1104 (LB). The light sensor is grounded through circuit 57 (BK), or if equipped with automatic climate control, through circuit 676 (PK/OG).
Relays for the parking lamps and the headlamps are integral to the vehicle security module. Voltage is supplied to the integral parking lamp relay through circuit 195 (TN/WH) and to the headlamp relay through circuit 196 (DB/OG). When the relays are energized, voltage is routed to circuit 14 (BN) for the parking lamps and to circuit 15 (RD/YE) for the headlamps.
