Test B: The Low Beams Are Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST B: THE LOW BEAMS ARE INOPERATIVE

B1-B3:

B3-B5:

Normal Operation - Without Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEADLAMPS ON position, voltage is routed to the multifunction switch through circuit 15 (RD/YE). The multifunction switch then routes the voltage to the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 13 (RD/BK). The CJB then routes the voltage to the low beam headlamps.

Normal Operation - With DRL
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEADLAMPS ON position, voltage is routed to the multifunction switch through circuit 15 (RD/YE). The multifunction switch then routes the voltage to circuit 13 (RD/BK) which then changes to circuit 1033 (RD/YE) before reaching the DRL relay 3. The DRL relay 3 then routes the voltage to the CJB through circuit 13 (RD/BK). The CJB then routes the voltage to the low beam headlamps.

Possible Causes
- Circuit 13 (RD/BK) open
- Circuit 1033 (RD/YE) open
- DRL relay 3
- Multifunction switch
- CJB
