Normal Operation - Without Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEADLAMPS ON position, voltage is routed to the multifunction switch through circuit 15 (RD/YE). The multifunction switch then routes the voltage to the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 632 (GY/OG) (high beams) or circuit 13 (RD/BK) (low beams). The CJB then routes the voltage to the high beam headlamps through circuit 12 (LG/BK) or to the low beam headlamps through circuits 160 (DB/WH) (LH low beam) and 161 (DG/OG) (RH low beam).

Normal Operation - With DRL
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEADLAMPS ON position, voltage is routed to the multifunction switch through circuit 15 (RD/YE). The multifunction switch then routes the voltage to circuit 632 (GY/OG) (high beams) or circuit 13 (RD/BK) which then changes to circuit 1033 (RD/YE) before reaching the DRL relay 3. The DRL relay 3 then routes the voltage to the CJB through circuit 13 (RD/BK). The CJB then routes the voltage to the high beam headlamps through circuit 12 (LG/BK) or to the low beam headlamps through circuits 160 (DB/WH) (LH low beam) and 161 (DG/OG) (RH low beam).

Possible Causes
- Circuit 12 (LG/BK) short to voltage
- Circuit 13 (RD/BK) short to voltage
- Circuit 15 (RD/YE) short to voltage
- Circuit 160 (DB/WH) short to voltage
- Circuit 161 (DG/OG) short to voltage
- Circuit 632 (GY/OG) short to voltage
- Circuit 1033 (RD/YE) short to voltage
- Headlamp switch
- Multifunction switch
- CJB
- Vehicle security module
