Test G: No Communication With The Four Wheel Drive (4WD) Control Module (GEM)

PINPOINT TEST G: NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) CONTROL MODULE

Normal Operation
In order for the 4WD control module (GEM) to communicate with the diagnostic tool, the operating voltage required to supply the 4WD control module is in a range between 9 and 16 volts.

Possible Causes
^ Power supply circuits:
- 1306a (PK/WH)
- 1306c (PK/WH)
^ Ignition circuits:
- 295 (LB/PK)
- 640 (RD/YE)
- 1002 (BK/PK)
^ Central junction box (CJB) fuses:
- 19 (10A)
- 45 (10A)
- 33 (15A)
^ Charging system
^ Battery
