ISSUE
Some 2007-2008 Ranger vehicles equipped with a 2.3L engine may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0128 that sets during low speed drives in cold ambient temperatures, and may be more pronounced when used in conjunction with a block heater. No drivability issues will be present.

ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 56.6 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2008.7 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
