System Specifications

Cylinder Head Bolts





The cylinder head bolts are torque-to-yield and must not be reused. New cylinder head bolts must be installed.

First pass 5 Nm (44 inch lbs).
Second pass 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs).
Third pass 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs).
Fourth pass Tighten 90°
Final pass Tighten 90°

Intake manifold bolts 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs).

Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts





First pass Tighten 1 turn at a time until tight
Second pass 7 Nm (62 inch lbs).
Final pass 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs).

Camshaft sprocket bolts 72 Nm (53 ft. lbs).

Exhaust Manifold Nuts

Discard the exhaust manifold nuts and studs.

Studs 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs).
Nuts 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs).
