Removal and Installation
All seat latch strikers
1. NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.
If equipped, insert an appropriate tool and release the detachable safety belt anchor(s) from the seat.
2. NOTE: The seat mounting latches are serviced as part of the bench seat risers. If either seat mounting latch is damaged and cannot be released to remove the seat, remove the seat latch striker with the seat attached.
Pull the 2 seat latch release straps and remove the rear seat.
Second, third and fourth row seat latch strikers
3. Remove the 4 bolts (5 bolts, 7-passenger third row and 12-passenger fourth row) and seat latch striker.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Fifth row seat latch striker
4. Remove the 2 forward seat latch striker M12 bolts.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
5. Remove the 4 rearward seat latch striker M14 bolts and seat latch striker.
- To install, tighten to 125 Nm (92 lb-ft).
LH or RH reinforcement plate removal
6. Remove the fourth row seat latch striker attaching the affected reinforcement plate.
- Remove the 4 bolts and seat latch striker.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
7. If equipped, remove the fifth row seat latch striker attaching the affected reinforcement plate.
- Remove the 2 forward seat latch striker M12 bolts.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
- Remove the 4 rearward seat latch striker M14 bolts and seat latch striker.
- To install, tighten to 125 Nm (92 lb-ft).
8. Remove the 8 scrivets and rear door opening scuff plate.
9. Gain access to the reinforcement plate underneath the floor trim carpeting.
10. Remove the LH or RH reinforcement plate.
All seat latch strikers
11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
