Test E: The Headlamps Are On Continuously

PINPOINT TEST E: THE HEADLAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Normal Operation
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEADLAMPS ON position, voltage is routed to the multifunction switch through circuit 15 (RD/YE).

If the multifunction switch is in the LOW BEAM position, voltage is routed to the daytime running lamps (DRL) module and the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 13 (RD/BK). The CJB then routes the voltage through circuits 160 (DB/WH) (LH headlamp) and 161 (DG/OG) (RH headlamp).

If the multifunction switch is in the HIGH BEAM position, voltage is routed to the CJB through circuit 632 (GY/OG). The CJB then routes the voltage to the daytime running lamps (DRL) module and the headlamps through circuit 12 (LG/BK).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Headlamp switch
- Multifunction switch
- Daytime running lamps (DRL) module
