NOTE: For vehicles with different front and rear tire pressures (such as E-Series and certain F-Series), the tire pressures must be adjusted and the tire pressure sensors must be trained following a tire rotation. Failure to train the sensors will cause the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) indicator to illuminate.

For vehicles with the same tire pressures for front and rear tires, tire rotation will not affect the TPMS.

NOTE: If the vehicle security module (VSM) is not configured and all tire pressure sensors are not trained after installing a new VSM, the VSM tire pressure PIDs will display default tire pressure information that does not reflect actual tire pressure. Failure of a TPMS component may not cause the message center to display a fault message or a DTC to be stored. The Symptom Chart is a starting point to begin diagnosis of these concerns.
