Test A: The Instrument Cluster (IC) Is Inoperative
PINPOINT TEST A: THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) IS INOPERATIVENormal Operation
With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster (IC) receives voltage from the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 1044 (WH/YE). When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, voltage is received from the CJB through circuit 295 (LB/PK). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster (IC) receives its keep-alive voltage from the CJB through circuit 729 (RD/WH). The instrument cluster (IC) grounding is through circuits 938 (BK/LG) and 57 (BK).
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse(s)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Instrument cluster (IC)
