Test G: The Illuminated Entry Is Inoperative When Using The Remote Transmitter
PINPOINT TEST G: THE ILLUMINATED ENTRY IS INOPERATIVE WHEN USING THE REMOTE TRANSMITTERNormal Operation
The illuminated entry feature is activated by the vehicle security module (VSM) and the instrument cluster (IC). The VSM sends a message over the controller area network (CAN) to alert the IC to illuminate the interior lamps.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- IC
- VSM
