SEAT TRACK - FRONT

Removal and Installation

WARNING:
- Never probe the electrical connectors on safety belt buckle/retractor pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors. Failure to follow this instruction may result in the accidental deployment of the safety belt pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors, which increases the risk of serious personal injury or death.
- To reduce the risk of accidental deployment, do not use any memory saver devices. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death.

NOTE:
- The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the restraints control module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON. This is normal operation and does not indicate a supplemental restraint system (SRS) fault.
- The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
- Seat tracks and seat motors are only serviceable as a complete seat track assembly.
- LH shown, RH similar.

All seats
1. Remove the seat.
2. Remove the seat backrest.
3. Remove the seat cushion.

Manual seats

4. NOTE: Use the fastener access holes to reach the seat support nuts.

Remove the 4 riser-to-manual seat track nuts.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).







Seats with power
5. Remove the 2 riser-to-outboard power seat track nuts.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).







6. Remove the 3 riser-to-inboard power seat track bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).







7. Disconnect the power seat motor jumper harness electrical connector.







8. NOTE: Note the connector locations and wire harness routing for installation.

Separate the electrical connector pin-type retainers from the riser and remove the power seat wire harness.

All seats

9. NOTE:
- Note the connector locations and wire harness routing for installation.
- LH shown, RH similar.

Detach the safety belt buckle and pretensioner electrical connector from the seat riser.

10. Separate the riser from the seat track.
11. Remove the safety belt buckle and pretensioner.
1 Remove the bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

2 Separate the safety belt buckle and pretensioner from the seat track.
3 Route out the wire harness and remove the safety belt buckle and pretensioner.







12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
