Transmission Insulator and Retainer









Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the 2 transmission insulator nuts.





3. Position a high-lift transmission jack under the transmission.

4. Raise the transmission until the retainer studs are separated from the transmission support crossmember.





5. Remove the transmission insulator bolts, insulator and retainer.





Installation

1. Install the transmission insulator and retainer and install the bolts.
- Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).





2. Lower the transmission while aligning the retainer studs with the holes in the crossmember. Allow the full weight of the transmission to rest on the crossmember.





3. Remove the high-lift transmission jack.

4. Install the transmission insulator and retainer to crossmember nuts.
- Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).





5. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
