Intake Air Temperature 2 (IAT2) Sensor
Removal and Installation
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Remove the 6 pushpin retainers and the upper air deflector.
3. Remove the 4 power steering reservoir bracket bolts.
4. Remove the power steering fluid indicator and 3 bolts. Remove the power steering reservoir bracket. Install the power steering indicator and position aside.
5. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet tube.
6. NOTE: ACL side shown, engine side similar.
Loosen the clamps and remove the ACL outlet pipe.
7. NOTE: If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) tube to prevent the tube from blowing off.
Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC tube.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
8. NOTE: Picture taken from inside the vehicle for clarity.
Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature 2 (IAT2) sensor electrical connector.
9. Remove the IAT2 sensor.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
