Air Cleaner - 6.0L Diesel
Removal
1. Remove the bolts and position the degas bottle aside.
2. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe.
3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the ACL outlet pipe from the ACL.
4. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
- Slide out the red lock.
- Press the tab and disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the 3 latches and remove the ACL cover.
6. Remove the ACL element.
7. Remove the LH headlamp assembly.
8. Remove the ACL tray.
1. Lift straight up to release the bottom legs from the 2 isolators in the bracket.
2. Move to the left to release the side 2 isolators and remove the ACL tray.
Installation
1. Install the ACL tray.
1. Position the ACL tray in the vehicle and move it to the right into the fender opening and 2 side isolators.
2. Push the ACL tray down into the 2 isolators in the bracket.
2. NOTE: This step is carried out through the opening behind the LH headlamp assembly.
Inspect the rubber seal flap on the ACL tray inlet bezel for correct position, flat against the body.
- If the flap is kinked or distorted, reposition it as necessary.
3. Install the LH headlamp assembly.
4. Install the ACL element.
5. Install the ACL cover and connect the 3 latches.
6. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
- Slide in the red lock.
7. Connect the ACL outlet pipe to the ACL and tighten the clamp.
- Tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).
8. Connect the coolant hoses to the ACL outlet pipe.
- Install the engine coolant vent hose in the bottom and rear retainers of the ACL outlet pipe.
- Install the radiator vent hose in the top retainer of the ACL outlet pipe.
9. Position the degas bottle and install the bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
