Power Window Control
The window control switch:
- is located on each door trim panel.
- may be used to raise or lower all windows from the left front window control switch, or the individual side window from the corresponding individual door switch.
- can lock out passenger front and rear window control switches when the lock-out switch on the left front window control switch is turned on.
- can automatically raise or lower the driver door window when the window control switch is momentarily pushed or pulled into the second detent position and released.
Delayed accessory feature
The accessory delay relay, located in the SJB, provides power for the operation of the power windows and the power moon roof (if equipped). The accessory delay feature is active when the ignition switch is in the RUN or the ACC position, or when the ignition switch is changed from RUN or ACC to the OFF/LOCK position and the LF and RF doors are closed.
Rear window defrost
The HVAC module (if equipped) or manual climate control assembly controls the state of the rear window defrost relay. When the rear window defrost switch (integral to the HVAC module or manual climate control assembly) is pressed, the HVAC module (if equipped) or manual climate control assembly will activate the rear window defrost relay. When the rear window defrost relay is active, both the rear window defrost grid and heated mirror elements will be energized.
Power Rear Window (if Equipped)
The power rear window is operated by the control switch located in the overhead console. When the rear window is in the fully CLOSED position, pressing and releasing the control switch will lower the rear window to the VENT position. Pressing and releasing the control switch again will lower the rear window to the fully OPEN position. When the rear window is in the fully OPEN or VENT position, pulling and releasing the control switch will return the rear window to the fully CLOSED position.
