Pickup Bed Side Step

Removal and Installation

Side step assembly

NOTE: The pickup bed side step must be closed to complete this procedure.

1. Remove the pickup bed side step bracket slide strap support bracket-to-side step bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

2. Remove the 4 pickup bed side step-to-frame bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

3. Remove the locating nut.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

4. Remove the pickup bed side step assembly.

Side step body

5. Remove the pickup bed side step body upper retainer bolts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

6. Loosen the pickup bed side step body lower nuts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

7. NOTE: Pull outward to release the step body from the pickup bed side step bracket studs.

Remove the pickup bed side step body.

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
