Seat Backrest - Front

Disassembly and Assembly

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Front Seat - Exploded View, Front.

1. Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front Seat Backrest - Front.

2. Remove the seat backrest cover. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest Cover - Front Seat Backrest Cover - Front.

3. Remove the backrest foam pad.

4. If equipped, remove the backrest Thermo-Electric Device (TED). For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest Thermo-Electric Device Seat Backrest Thermo-Electric Device.

5. If equipped, remove the power lumbar assembly. For additional information, refer to Lumbar Assembly - Power Lumbar Assembly - Power.

6. If equipped, remove the manual lumbar assembly.
- Detach the cable from the backrest frame.
- Note cable routing for correct installation.

- Pinch the lumbar retainers together to release from the backrest frame.

- For installation, make sure the arrow is pointed up.

7. NOTICE: Inspect the backrest support and retainers for damage. If any damaged, loose or detached retainers are found, new retainers must be installed. Failure to follow this instruction may result in backrest support failure.

Remove the backrest support.

- Detach the 2 lower retainers from the backrest frame.

- Using a suitable tool, release and detach the 2 upper retainers and remove the backrest support.
- For installation, make sure the backrest support rests in front of the backrest frame and install the retainers from the front side. Crimp and tighten the retainers over the backrest support and backrest frame.

8. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
