OVERVIEWThis program involves installing a Ford audio system in place of the In-Dash Computer.

I. ECONOLINE SERVICE PROCEDURE
All Vehicles
1. Remove the In-Dash Computer and antenna jumper wire. For additional information, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00.
2. Remove the modem-antenna. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
Vehicles Equipped with Tool Link
3. Secure the Tool Link 6-pin electrical connector to a suitable location using a zip-tie.
All Vehicles
4. Install the new Audio Control Module (ACM). For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
NOTE:
The as-built data for these vehicles has been updated to include the appropriate ACM data needed to support the installation of the AM/FM/CD radio being installed.
5. Download the as-built data configuration information to the new ACM. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 418-01.
II. F150 SERVICE PROCEDURE
All Vehicles
1. Remove the In-Dash Computer and antenna jumper wire. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
2. Remove the modem-antenna. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
3. Remove the screws and the Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) module from the vehicle's instrument panel lower center finish panel. See Figure 1.
4. Install the HVAC module to the new instrument panel lower center finish panel. See Figure 1.
^ Install the screws hand tight. Do not over tighten.
5. Install the new power point retainer onto the new instrument panel lower center finish panel. See Figure 2.
6. Install the new power point socket. See Figure 2.
7. Install the new Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) to the new instrument panel lower center finish panel using the 12 new screws. See Figure 3.
Install the screws hand tight. Do not over tighten.

8. Secure the Tool Link 6-pin electrical connector to a suitable location using a zip-tie.
All Vehicles
9. Install the new hazard light switch assembly onto the new instrument panel lower center finish panel.
10. Install the instrument panel upper bin.
1. Position the instrument panel upper bin.
2. Install the 2 screws.
3. Install the rubber mat.
11. Install the new ACM. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
NOTE:
The as-built data for these vehicles has been updated to include the appropriate ACM data needed to support the installation of the AM/FM/CD radio being installed.
12. Download the as-built data configuration information to the new ACM. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 418-01.
III. F-SUPER DUTY SERVICE PROCEDURE
All Vehicles
1. Remove the In-Dash Computer and antenna jumper wire. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
2. Remove the modem-antenna. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.

3. Secure the Tool Link 6-pin electrical connector to a suitable location using a zip-tie.

4. Install the new ACM. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
NOTE:
The as-built data for these vehicles has been updated to include the appropriate ACM data needed to support the installation of the AM/FM/CD radio being installed.
5. Download the as-built data configuration information to the new ACM. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 418-01.
IV. TRANSIT CONNECT SERVICE PROCEDURE
All Vehicles
1. Remove the In-Dash Computer and antenna jumper wire. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
2. Remove the modem-antenna. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
3. Remove the 2 screws and position the bracket to access the 3-way harness connector and the ACM connector. See Figure 1.
4. Disconnect the 3-way harness connector and the ACM connector. See Figure 2.
^ Discard the 3-way harness connector.
5. Reposition the bracket and install the 2 screws. See Figure 1.
^ Tighten the screws to 2.5 Nm (22 lb-in).
Vehicles Equipped with Tool Link
6. Secure the Tool Link 6-pin electrical connector to a suitable location using a zip-tie.
All Vehicles
7. Transfer the switches from the old center instrument panel finish panel and install them onto the new center instrument panel finish panel.
8. Install the new center instrument panel finish panel using 2 of the screws previously used for the In-Dash Computer. See Figure 3.
9. Remove the retainer from the back of the new ACM. See Figure 4.
10. Position the new ACM support bracket onto the back of the new ACM. Install the retainer and locator. See Figure 5.
11. Install the new ACM. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
12. Install the Instrument Cluster (IC). For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 413-01.
NOTE:
The as-built data for these vehicles has been updated to include the appropriate ACM data needed to support the installation of the AM/FM/CD radio being install.
13. Download the as-built data configuration information to the new ACM. For additional information, refer to WSM, Section 418-01.
14. Using IDS release 66.00A or higher, enable the clock module.
^ From the toolbox menu, select "Module Programming" and then "Programmable Parameters".
^ Select "Personality" and then select "Radio Clock".
^ Select "Enabled" to enable the clock.
