Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) System Components - Gasoline Engines

5.4L (3V)









6.8L (3V)









Removal

All engines

1. Disconnect the quick connect couplings and remove the PCV tube. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.

6.8L (3V) engines

2. Using hose clamp pliers, clamp the PCV fitting coolant hoses to prevent loss of coolant and disconnect the PCV fitting coolant hoses.

All engines

3. Remove the 2 bolts and the PCV fitting.
- Discard the PCV fitting.

Installation

All engines

1. Install the new PCV fitting and the 2 bolts.
- Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

6.8L (3V) engines

2. Connect the PCV fitting coolant hoses.

All engines

3. Position the PCV tube and connect the quick connect couplings. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
